Kaneku Brewing, based in Nangō, Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, has added three limited-edition beers to its online store's new arrivals. The lineup includes "Midnight Protocol," a collaboration with Hong Kong's DEADMAN BREWERY, the DDH American Wheat Ale "Neon Paws," and "south bound" with Be Easy Brewing.
Kaneku Brewing, based in Nangō, Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, is offering three limited-edition beers as new items in its official online store. All three are sold individually in 330ml bottles/cans, priced at 770 yen including tax. Staying true to a brewery that roots itself locally while pursuing new forms of expression, this release brings together three beers with different flavor directions and collaboration backgrounds.
Midnight Protocol
This collaboration with Hong Kong's DEADMAN BREWERY marks the opening of the taproom "Denkou Bakushu Neko Neko." The style is Dry Hopped Lager, and the alcohol content is 5.0%. Using jasmine tea leaves and lemon peel, it is designed with an aroma that evokes a late-night cyber space. It layers jasmine and citrus nuances over the clean, crisp drinkability of a lager.
Neon Paws
This one is a DDH American Wheat Ale brewed with Cascade and Centennial hops. The alcohol content is 5.0%. The product description presents it as a beer built around grapefruit-like aromas, while balancing softness, easy drinkability, and a sharp finish. Its playful concept, in which it is a popular item at a cat-world bar called "Paws," also reflects the brand's sense of fun.
south bound
A Session IPA created in collaboration with Be Easy Brewing of Hirosaki. It has an alcohol content of 4.5% and uses Australian malt as a base, then dry-hops mainly with New Zealand's Peacharine hops. It starts with juicy peach and tropical fruit aromas, then finishes with a lime note from Riwaka that sharpens the aftertaste. The result is a lively beer that puts Southern Hemisphere hop aromas front and center.
On its official website, Kaneku Brewing describes itself as "a small brewery in Nangō" and emphasizes its commitment to delivering craft beer that is deeply rooted in the local community. These three releases can be seen as a lineup that expresses that philosophy from three different angles.
