New IPA to be shown at a tasting event

Tokumanjiri Hinomoto Beer will introduce a new IPA at a tasting event held on June 10 at "Azabu Gyoza" in Minami-Azabu, Tokyo. The event begins at 6:30 p.m., and the participation fee is 6,000 yen. In its post, the brewery framed the event as a chance to experience the beer's aroma, bitterness, and compatibility with food on the spot.

The brewery is based in Kotoura, Tottori, and began brewing in 2022 at the local izakaya "Shubo Gin." According to the brewery's official site, the current brewery site was once a juice factory that operated from the late Meiji era through the early Heisei period. The place has since been brought back into use as a brewing site.

The official site also says the brewery focuses on using local ingredients and making recipes that can only be brewed at that moment. While Tokumanjiri Hinomoto Beer is known for its signature milk beer, this tasting event shows how the brewery continues to present new releases in a food-friendly setting, emphasizing not only the beer itself but also how it works with a meal.

For drinkers in Tokyo, the event offers a chance to get acquainted with a new beer from one of Tottori's small-batch craft breweries.
