Mimasaka Beer Works in Okayama announced that it will hold a reservation-only event, "Alcohol and Culture Encountered in Bolivia, South America," on Saturday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m. The venue is MBW, and the fee is 1,000 yen including one drink. It looks set to be a night where craft beer and travel culture intersect.
According to Mimasaka Beer Works (MBW)'s Instagram post titled "Event Notice," a reservation-only talk event will be held at MBW from 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. The theme is "Alcohol and Culture Encountered in Bolivia, South America - Singani, the Andean distilled spirit."
The post says MBW's Mr. Miura will introduce a week-long journey taken by his older brother through Bolivia in South America, visiting distilleries and fields. With photos, the event will trace the local drink culture and daily life in places such as the Uyuni Salt Flats, La Paz at an altitude of 3,600 meters, the distillery town of Camargo, and the wine-producing region of Tarija.
Admission is 1,000 yen including one drink. Reservations and inquiries are accepted via Instagram DM or by phone. In addition, the organizers say they are planning an all-you-can-drink option for those who want to enjoy the event while drinking craft beer, non-alcoholic drinks for those arriving by car, and Bolivia-inspired food and snacks that pair well with beer.
