At the beer pub BEER CAFE GAMBRINUS in the south exit area of Kokubunji Station, the March 20 (Fri.) edition of “today's draft beers” has been updated. The highlight this time is the five newly tapped beers marked with ★.

First, from Miyazaki come Noberu Brewing's “Hodoku” (Weizenbock) and Miyazaki Hideji Beer’s “Kyushu Craft Kinkan” (Fruit Lager). The lineup lets you choose both a beer with rich malt depth and a light, refreshing beer that brings out the character of citrus. Tokyo is represented by Saikado Brewing’s “Hanami” (Specialty Saison) and Kyoto Brewing’s “Spring Whim” (IPA), a lineup that captures both seasonal feeling and hop presence. In addition, Shiga’s Flora Fermentation “Tayuu” (Porter w/ buckwheat) has been added, extending the range into roasted styles.

The regular taps are also strong, with Number Nine’s “#9 Hazy,” Blue Classic’s “Ura Tiger Viva Haze,” Minoh Beer’s “Nice Bitter,” Shiga Kogen Beer’s “Shiga Kogen Helles!?,” Nomcraft’s “Armadillo Outlaw,” Oguna’s “India Pale Ale,” Let's Beer Works’ “On My Way to the Moon,” and even “Pilsner Urquell,” making it easy to build a flow from aroma-focused beers to classic lager.

Coming Soon also includes Gambrinus “12°” (Pilsner), Bernard “Dark 12°” (Dark Lager), Black Tide “Kaerashi Ver. 2.0” (West Coast IPA), and Craft Bank “Coffee Stout.” This is a very Gambrinus-style tap update, fun for side-by-side tasting, keeping track of the current domestic craft scene while also leaving room for Czech-style lagers.
