Beer Yumeyomi, a beer pub in Kyoto’s Gion district, is open on Saturday, July 11 from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with Yorocco Beer’s “All You Need is Flower” chamomile saison on tap. In the post, the beer is introduced as a seasonal botanical series the bar looks forward to every year. It is brewed with naturally grown chamomile from Kamakurayama, dried and steeped for the beer, and is described with refreshing notes of lemon and apple.

Food offerings for the day include Awaji-produced glassfish (kisu) and colorful pickled summer vegetables. The lineup pairs naturally with the lighter, seasonal beer service the bar is known for.

The bottle list also still has a little “Fūri” available. This collaboration beer with Noroshi Brewery is a Belgian wit built around elderflower, offering a softer floral profile that should contrast nicely with the tap saison.

Beer Yumeyomi is located on the second floor of Shimaya Building in Higashiyama, Kyoto, near Shijo and Yamato-Oji. The bar’s posts also reflect the atmosphere of Gion Festival season, when the neighborhood grows livelier and the smell of torches drifts into the shop. It is a place that welcomes solo drinkers, avoids large groups, and takes no reservations. Payment is accepted in cash, PayPay, JCB, Visa, Master, and Amex.
