Minamiaizu Mountain Brewing / Taproom BeerFridge is releasing `GION` as a seasonal beer for the Aizu-Tajima Gion Festival. The beer is labeled as an `Omatsuri IPA/DDH IPA` and comes in at 6.0% ABV. According to the brewery, it was brewed for the festival period that runs every year from July 22 to 24 in Aizu-Tajima.

The flavor profile centers on aromas reminiscent of grapefruit, passion fruit, peach, and muscat. In the description, the brewery notes that, like `GREDHI`, this beer uses lager yeast while still pushing hop character to the forefront. The beer pours a bright yellow color, with oats and wheat adding enough body to support the expressive aroma. It is designed to finish dry, with moderate bitterness rather than a heavy aftertaste.

The label is in its third year and now comes in three versions: the new `Otokoshu` design, plus the existing `Hanayome` and `Ooyatai` labels mixed in distribution. That framing ties the beer closely to the festival itself, not only to the main parade and floats but also to the people who prepare and support them behind the scenes. Available sizes are 15.5L, 10.2L, and 360ml. Drinking it at the taproom in Aizu-Tajima should make the festival atmosphere feel close at hand.
