SEKIYA TAP STAND Taps New IPA "Kabu" in Kunitachi, a Spring Pint
At the beer pub "SEKIYA TAP STAND" in Kunitachi, Tokyo, KUNITACHI BREWERY's new collaboration beer "Kabu" (American IPA) has been tapped. It is said to feature pine resin and citrus aromas, a lush green hop character, and a long-lasting bitterness, and it also invites a side-by-side tasting with the previously released "Gakugei-Daimae."
According to the tapping information released by SEKIYA TAP STAND, the guest beer this time is the new collaboration beer "Kabu" from KUNITACHI BREWERY (American IPA / ABV 6.0%), now being served.
In the post, the flavor is described with notes of pine resin and citrus aroma, along with a grassy, fresh green hop character, fruitiness reminiscent of Japanese citrus and grapefruit, and a bitterness that carries through to the finish. With its emphasis on aromatic lift and lingering bitterness, it is especially likely to appeal to fans of more classic-leaning IPAs.
The same post also mentions a tasting comparison with "Gakugei-Daimae", which was released recently. Rather than enjoying it on its own, drinking it side by side in a similar context should make it easier to experience the differences in hop expression and the quality of the bitterness in a more concrete way.
The shop is located at 1-9-30 Naka, Kunitachi City, Tokyo, on the first floor of Sekiya. Adjacent to the bottle shop "SAKE BOUTIQUE SEKIYA," it combines a local feel that blends naturally into the neighborhood with a high level of craft beer awareness. It is also a good stop to pair with a spring stroll through Kunitachi during cherry blossom season, making it a perfect moment to enjoy the atmosphere of the season together with the outline of the IPA.
Because taps turn over quickly in early spring, anyone with a target in mind should check both the business information and stock trends in advance.
