Craft beer and spice food spot “Neko no Shukai-jo” in Umegaoka, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, is announcing its Saturday opening. In the shop’s post, it was introduced as a calm place where you can sit down, snack on food, and leisurely enjoy beer.

This day’s draft lineup includes six beers. First, as staple offerings, Onidensetsu’s “Ao Oni Pilsner” and “Kinnoni CGX Nelson” are on tap. The former is a crisp, easy-drinking pilsner, while the latter is an American pale ale that should appeal to people who want to enjoy Nelson’s hop character. In addition, the lineup spans a wide range of styles: Pirono Beer’s “Pirono Saison,” NOMCRAFT’s “WEISEN DOPPELBOCK,” Shiga Kogen’s “SNOW MONKEY IPA,” and Faló’s “OBAKE (IPA).” From pilsner to saison, doppelbock, hazy IPA, and IPA, it is a selection you can choose from according to your mood.

The shop also serves canned and bottled beer inside, so you can not only drink there but also buy beer to take home. IPA and lager recommendations are available, and the fun of choosing by label design was also mentioned. It is a lineup that lets you safely pick a trusted favorite or try a slightly more adventurous style.

On the food side, as a shop that specializes in spice food, you can expect dishes that pair well with beer. Since it is located in Umegaoka’s relaxed shopping street, it is easy to stop by when you want a drink near the station. For anyone along the Odakyu Line who wants to check the draft lineup and drink at a leisurely pace, this is a place worth remembering.
