For craft beer fans along the Chuo Line, news has arrived that there will be more places to buy it. In an Instagram post, Chuo Line Beer Works announced that it is expanding sales of its house-brewed craft beer cans. This time, they say sales will begin sequentially at the following three stores.

- York Foods Asagaya
- Ito Yokado Musashisakai
- Ito Yokado Musashi-Koganei

In the post, the brewery suggested its beer as an "ohanami" companion ahead of the cherry blossoms reaching bloom and their best viewing time. It also clearly stated that sales prices may differ by store, that items may be out of stock even when sufficient inventory has been prepared, and that because scheduled sales locations are included, some stores may still be preparing depending on timing. It is safer to check the store status before buying.

Chuo Line Beer Works is based in the Koganei area of Tokyo, and its official website presents the concept, "A beer that began at the station, a bridge to the city." It grew out of hop-growing activities started by people along the Chuo Line together with station staff, and later developed into a brewing business. A former station employee also works as a brewer on product development, and the taproom attached to the brewery serves not only its own beer but also guest beers, mainly from the Tama area.

As canned products spread into everyday living areas along the line, the key point here is that they will be easier to pick up not only on days when you visit the taproom, but also as part of ordinary shopping. As a local brewery tied to Chuo Line culture, its efforts to expand distribution in time for spring are worth watching.
