Fukuoka-based brewery Neko Beer unveiled its new beer "I Am a Cherry..." in an Instagram post. This release is the latest entry in the brewery's ongoing Sour IPA series.

The recipe revealed this time is as follows.

- Style: Sour IPA with Cherry
- ABV: 5.0%
- Malt: Pilsner Malt, Wheat Malt
- Hops: Nelson Sauvin, Citra
- Others: Sour Cherry, Sweet Cherry, lactose, glucose

According to the post, the brew uses the equivalent of 100 kg of cherry juice for a small-tank batch. Rather than reducing the hop load, the recipe is designed to bring out the presence of the cherries more strongly. The comments describe a flavor aimed at balancing tartness and sweetness, with an impression like "biting into fruit."

As for availability, it is already on tap at two venues: "Beer Kichi" and "Kichii." Sales to outside locations are also rolling out gradually, so it should become easier to find beyond the Fukuoka area as well.

Neko Beer is known for releases that combine approachable branding with generous fruit usage. This "I Am a Cherry..." is also a new beer worth checking out for drinkers who want to enjoy the tartness of a Sour IPA, hop aroma, and the sweet-tart character of cherries all at once.
