Today's taps

Craft Beer 2 Mugi opened for the evening from 17:00 to 23:00, following a holiday break. True to its sommelier-driven approach, the pub lined up six drafts that show a clear mix of Japanese craft beer styles.

- TAP1: Nara Brewing’s Camouflage / Hazy IPA
- TAP2: Faló Brewing’s Fuego / Mexican Lager
- TAP3: Ise Kadoya Brewery’s Ise Kado Pale Ale / Pale Ale
- TAP4: Yorocco Beer’s Summer Cloud / Hefeweizen
- TAP5: Takatsugawa River Beer’s Abu Kiwi Saison / Fruit Saison
- TAP6: Takatsugawa River Beer’s Hagi Natsumikan Saison / Fruit Saison

Two of the day’s highlights were the new taps: Fuego and Summer Cloud. Fuego is a clean, easy-drinking Mexican lager, while Summer Cloud brings soft wheat character and a fruit-forward aroma that fits warm-weather drinking. The two fruit saisons from Takatsugawa River Beer added a rare chance to compare draft pours from the Shimane-based brewery. TAP3, Ise Kado Pale Ale, was noted as running low.

The food recommendation was iwashi sashimi, with the pub noting that it pairs well with crisp lagers, wheat beers, and saisons. Located about three minutes from Akihabara Station, the shop also welcomes solo drinkers and craft beer beginners, and offers takeaway cans and bottles.

For drinkers who enjoy following a changing tap list, Craft Beer 2 Mugi continues to be a straightforward stop in Akihabara: focused on beer, built around careful selection, and backed by a menu that supports the pours without getting in the way.
