Hansharo Beer has released a limited beer, "Fresh-Squeezed Lemon Beer," created in partnership with the popular ramen shop Ramen Yangu in Mishima, Shizuoka Prefecture. The concept is a "refreshing beer that pairs with ramen," inspired by the shop's signature item, "Fresh-Squeezed Lemon Ramen." It has been crafted as a low-alcohol beer designed so the fruity character of lemon can be enjoyed lightly and easily.

This beer is an American Pale Ale with Lemon. It uses Citra, HBC586, Strata, Lemon Drop, and Simcoe hops, with lemon added as an adjunct. In addition, by infusing the beer in two stages with lemon flesh and peel, it brings out citrus aroma, a pleasant tartness, and a fresh character reminiscent of freshly squeezed fruit. Alcohol content is 4.5%, and IBU is 12. It will be available in 10L and 15L kegs, as well as 330ml bottles.

Tasting notes describe the appearance as a "cloudy lemon yellow," with an aroma of bright yellow citrus reminiscent of lemon and grapefruit. The flavor opens with lemon-derived fruitiness and acidity, followed by a richness that evokes lemon tea. It was also designed with Ramen Yangu's "Fresh-Squeezed Lemon Ramen" in mind, so it looks well suited as a beer to enjoy with food.

Hansharo Beer was founded in 1997 in Nirayama, Izu no Kuni City. Drawing on ideas rooted in the local area, the brewery continues to expand the ways people enjoy craft beer. This collaboration is also noteworthy as a limited local project shaped by a neighborhood restaurant and a brewery each bringing its own character to the table.
