In HOP MAN's April 15 update from Jūmenzaka, Chigasaki City, Kanagawa, the collaboration beer Shin Asahi Oni IPA from Noboribetsu local beer Oni Densetsu was newly tapped. It is a West Coast IPA with 7.5% ABV and 65 IBU, brewed with KRUSH (HBC586), Citra, Strata, and Simcoe, and it emphasizes citrus character and tropical aroma, along with fruitiness reminiscent of peach and grape, finished with a firm bitterness.
The beer pub can line up as many as 38 draft beers indoors. As of this update, the lineup centers on Sapporo's the PERFECT Black Label, alongside distinctive beers from Shiga Kogen, Y.MARKET, Passific Brewing, Ushitora, Minoh Beer, and Nara Brewing, giving drinkers a wide range for comparison. From staples such as Zwickle Pils, 12 DA CAPO, FLOWER, Weizen, and Decorian to a hop-forward pour like Hattrick TDH Hazy IPA, the selection makes it easy to choose based on mood.
The kegs that emptied the day before included Baby Blonde Miyama, PSYCHEDELICROCK KRIEK, YUYA BOYS IPL Jamboree SP Ver., Shiga Kogen IPA, and Citrush, showing the fast turnover that is so characteristic of HOP MAN. In addition, the venue announced that the 3rd Chigasaki Jūmenzaka Beer Fest will be held from the 17th to the 19th, making it a day when normal service and event preparations are both moving forward at once. If you're chasing new taps in Chigasaki, this is an update worth keeping on your radar.
