A new hop expression in Numazu Hazy IPA

Repubrew Mishima Slider House 24taps, a beer pub in Mishima, Shizuoka, is serving Repubrew’s Numazu Hazy IPA N238 Batch.

For this batch, the hop used in the whirlpool was changed from TALUS to CHINOOK. According to Repubrew’s announcement, the change brought out a stronger pink guava impression. The beer offers an opportunity to explore how a change in hop variety can influence the aroma and flavor profile of a Hazy IPA.

Compare it with the previous batch

The announcement also encourages drinkers to compare the N238 Batch with the previous Numazu Hazy IPA. Tasting the two versions side by side should make the impact of the hop change easier to appreciate, especially for drinkers interested in ingredients and brewing techniques.

Look for tropical fruit character and take time to enjoy the aroma before tasting. Availability may change, so checking with the venue before visiting is recommended.
