Persona brewery, the brewpub on Asahi in Kofu, Yamanashi, shared a post ahead of Beer Fest Kofu and introduced the beers lined up for taps 5 through 8 during the opening three days. Because the brewery serves most of its own beer at its attached bar and rarely ships widely or appears at events, the festival is an especially important opportunity to meet drinkers face to face.

Four beers for the opening stretch

- Kurokanmuri: A stout brewed with sake lees from Takan, a Yamanashi sake brand. The beer is described as having coffee-like and bitter-chocolate roast notes from the malt, balanced by the soft sweetness and depth that come from the lees. The post also recommends trying it alongside Hanakanmuri.
- Tonari no Buntan: A fruit sour ale made with buntan, using not only the fruit but also the peel and white pith. It starts with bright citrus aroma, then opens into a pleasant bitterness and a firm, lingering tart edge.
- Oni Lemon Rinoka: A pale ale brewed with the lemon variety called Rinoka. Despite the fruit's bold, rugged appearance, the beer is meant to drink clean and light, with fresh citrus aroma and a gentle finish.
- Açaí State of Mind: A sour ale built around a berry-like acai character and crisp acidity. The brewery keeps the sweetness in check and leans into a light, easygoing profile.

The post frames Beer Fest Kofu as more than a sales opportunity. For Persona brewery, it is a chance to hear directly from people who return every year, and to serve beers that represent the brewery's on-site, small-scale brewing style in a festival setting.
