Rare "Susukino Ale" White Ale Now Being Served at CRAFT PORT FUNABASHI in Funabashi
In a March 17 post, CRAFT PORT FUNABASHI announced that while there were no new beers tapped, it is currently serving the White Ale from "Susukino Ale," a beer that can only be found in limited places outside Hokkaido. The post also introduces a new food item, "Prosciutto and Napa Cabbage Light Pickle-Style Salad ~ with the Aroma of Yuzu Kosho ~."
The beer pub CRAFT PORT FUNABASHI, in the Funabashi Station area, updated Instagram on March 17. In this post, it said there were "no new beers tapped today," while introducing the Susukino Ale White Ale as a noteworthy current tap.
The post notes that there are "limited opportunities to drink this White Ale outside Hokkaido," presenting it as a beer worth trying while it is on tap. Although it is not flashy new-tap news, the pub's careful attention to what is currently on tap is the kind of update craft beer fans who visit regularly won't want to miss.
At the same time, a new food menu item also appeared:
Prosciutto and Napa Cabbage Light Pickle-Style Salad ~ with the Aroma of Yuzu Kosho ~
Built around the sweetness of napa cabbage and accented with yuzu kosho, the post also mentions that it pairs well with the White Ale. The combination of a light wheat-based aroma with a side dish that brings saltiness and acidity is a classic pairing that works well from the first glass through the meal.
The shop is on the second floor of a building in Honcho, Funabashi City. As a beer pub where you can relax and enjoy craft beer, its appeal is that you can follow both the "now" of the taps and the food updates together. Even on days without new tap releases, stopping by guided by posts like this may lead to an unexpectedly great beer.
