Tap List for Aug. 17

Marumugi, a beer pub in Arakicho, Shinjuku, published its craft beer lineup for Aug. 17. The house pour is priced at JPY 1,200+tax for a large glass and JPY 900+tax for a small glass, making it easy to sample the day’s selections.

The five beers listed were Yorimichi no Lager (Ise Kadoya Beer, Mie) at 4.5%, Meyer Lemon Radler (Ise Kadoya Beer, Mie) at 4.0%, Osaru IPA (Minoh Beer, Osaka) at 6.0%, Public House Bitter (Baird Brewing, Shizuoka) at 4.0%, and Seiryou Inryou Sake (Ushitora Brewery, Tochigi) at 4.5%. Several beers carried a +JPY 100 surcharge, and the lineup spans lager, IPA, radler, English bitter, and session IPA.

Yorimichi no Lager is presented as a light lager, while Meyer Lemon Radler is described as sweet-tart and refreshing for summer. Osaru IPA focuses on bright aroma and a crisp finish, and Seiryou Inryou Sake is positioned as a gulpable session IPA.

Public House Bitter was introduced as an Ordinary Bitter. It features a light body, gentle bitterness, and malty aroma, leaning toward the relaxed pace of a British pub.

Marumugi notes that Tuesdays and public holidays are closed from Dec. 5, 2024. The result is a concise but varied tap list that suits both a first pint and a slower second round.
