Two new drafts in Makuhari

WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE’s Makuhari location, MIHAMA BASE BEER STAND MAKUHARI, has tapped two new beers: Tower X from California’s Karl Strauss and Imperial Red Ale from Isekadoya Beer in Mie, Japan.

Karl Strauss Tower X

Tower X is a West Coast IPA at 7.3% ABV and 60 IBU. It combines the character of classic West Coast IPA with modern brewing techniques and hop selection. Built around C-series hops, it brings pine, resinous notes and citrus aromas, followed by a firm bitterness. It is a fitting choice for drinkers who enjoy a clearly defined West Coast profile.

Isekadoya Beer Imperial Red Ale

Imperial Red Ale is a Double Red Ale at 6.5% ABV and 85 IBU. The beer has returned as a semi-regular release after receiving many requests for its revival. Its recipe has been tuned for today’s craft beer scene, combining old and new American hops to balance a nostalgic 2000s IPA character with modern drinkability.

The beer pours a vivid copper-red and offers fruity aromas reminiscent of citrus and grapes. A solid malt body meets a sharply structured bitterness, creating a lively and balanced finish.

The day’s draft selection also includes KIRIN HEARTLAND, PAULANER Hefe-Weissbier, Pure Project Diamond Dust, Societe The Labyrinth, Belching Beaver Hop Maxxing Hazy IPA and West Coast Brewing TDHSSR. With a broad range of styles on tap, the venue offers plenty to explore alongside the two new arrivals.

Located in Takasu, Mihama-ku, Chiba, the shop is open from 4:00 p.m. to midnight and also offers craft beer takeaway. It is a convenient stop in the Makuhari area for fans of hop-forward ales, classic bitterness and richly flavored red beers.
