WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE, a craft beer specialist in Takasu, Mihama-ku, Chiba, has announced two new draft releases.

The first is W Prodigy from Shizuoka-based West Coast Brewing. Classified as a Juicy Double IPA, it has an ABV of 8.0%. The beer is described as an enhanced version of the brewery’s early beer, The Prodigy. Its profile centers on tropical aromas reminiscent of green mango and ripe pineapple, with soft stone-fruit notes, a smooth mouthfeel, and a rich fruity finish. It should appeal to drinkers looking for a full-bodied IPA with expressive hop character.

The second release is Mermaid’s Red Amber Ale from Coronado in California. This 5.7% ABV amber ale was revived for Coronado’s 30th anniversary after being loved since the brewery’s early days. It pours a beautiful reddish color and offers rich malt flavors reminiscent of toffee. Compared with the intense fruitiness of W Prodigy, Mermaid’s Red Amber Ale takes a calmer, malt-led approach, making it a good choice for those who enjoy gentle sweetness and depth.

MIHAMA BASE is known for its rotating selection of domestic and international craft beers on draft. The Inagekaigan location also offers bottle and can takeaway. It is open from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with last orders at midnight for food and 12:30 a.m. for drinks. The shop is also scheduled to open on November 3.

These two releases offer a clear contrast: a powerful, juicy IPA and a classic amber ale with autumnal malt character. Beer lovers visiting Inagekaigan can enjoy them as different expressions of contemporary craft brewing at MIHAMA BASE.
