Sumiyoshi Beer Stand Tsubamenosu updates its taps with Heartland and four craft beers
Beer Stand Tsubamenosu in Tokyo’s Sumiyoshi area has refreshed its tap list. The lineup centers on KIRIN Heartland and adds five beers from Ise Kadoya Beer and Sanktgallen, alongside beer-friendly food. The bar opens at 6 p.m. on Saturdays and is easy to drop into for a casual pint.
Beer Stand Tsubamenosu is a compact beer pub near Sumiyoshi Station in Tokyo’s Koto Ward, designed for drinking craft beer without pretense. In its latest tap update, the bar pairs its regular KIRIN Heartland with beers from Ise Kadoya Beer and Sanktgallen.
Today’s taps
- KIRIN Heartland
- Ise Kadoya Beer Classic Pale Ale
- Ise Kadoya Beer Imperial Red Ale
- Sanktgallen Suica Wheat
- Sanktgallen Green Bullet Hazy
The lineup moves from a familiar lager to pale ale, red ale, and more seasonal wheat and hazy styles, making it easy to build a tasting sequence in one stop. Starting with Heartland and moving into the more aromatic, hop-driven beers feels especially natural here.
Food on the post includes Chicken Nugget Nanban, Iburigakko Egg, and Ajifry Sandwich. All three are clearly built with beer in mind. Chicken Nugget Nanban should work well with both a clean lager and a pale ale, while the smoked pickle egg and the mackerel fritter sandwich make this a place where snacks can shape the whole session.
The shop is located at 2-25-2 Sumiyoshi, Koto-ku, Tokyo. It has a calm, compact feel, no cover charge, and no smoking inside. Saturday opening time has been moved to 6 p.m., making it a convenient stop for an early evening beer in the neighborhood.
