Two Kegs Tapped in Tokyo’s Tokiwa-bashi

In an Instagram post on May 8, CRAFT BEER Market Tokyo Torch announced its newly tapped beers. This time, the two beers that appeared were Minami Shinshu Beer’s "Yamaso Hop" and Vector Brewing’s "Shiro Neko Punch." It made for a Friday after Golden Week with two easygoing beers that are also easy to enjoy on the terrace.

The shop is a beer pub on the first floor of TOKYO TORCH Tokiwa-bashi Tower. It always stocks about 30 kinds of domestic and international craft beers on draft, and its appeal lies in the ease with which you can casually compare a wide range of labels. Food designed to pair with craft beer is also available, and with gyoza and spice-focused dishes at the center, it’s easy to find plates that go well with beer. In addition to counter seating, there is terrace seating, making it convenient for everything from solo drinking to group visits.

The two beers make a pair that’s easy to enjoy for their contrasting directions. "Yamaso Hop" is a beer from Minami Shinshu Beer and is known for having fruity nuances. By contrast, "Shiro Neko Punch" is Vector Brewing’s hoppy weizen, featuring citrus-like aromas and a light, easy-drinking finish. What’s interesting is being able to line up one beer to savor carefully with one that’s easy to keep drinking.

Because it’s an easy stop after work in the Otemachi area and a place where following the tap list is part of the fun, this latest tapping is not to be missed. As the weather shifts rapidly toward summer, these two kegs are the first ones to check out.
