Event Overview


Beer Stand Amber Rondo, a beer pub in Honcho, Aoba Ward, Sendai, will host a Special Weekend from Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14. The bar opens at 4:00 p.m. on June 12 and 13, and at 3:00 p.m. on June 14. This time, the kitchen is tied to a Sendai Kuroku collaboration, with Genta Aota of Sendai Kuroku and Salut preparing the restaurant’s take on the garlic shrimp he reportedly ate his way through in Hawaii.

Food Built for Beer


The centerpiece is garlic shrimp, offered in Classic and Lemon Butter versions. The lineup also includes a Salut appetizer platter, hung-roast chashu, garlic edamame, and a mini keema curry with snap peas and tomatoes from Miura Farm. The menu is clearly designed with beer pairing in mind, ranging from lighter bites to something more substantial.

The June 12 draft list includes Kirin Ichiban Shibori Premium, Mankaze Ale from Ishinomaki Hops Works, Chili Breakwater from Ishinomaki Hops Works and T.Y. Harbor Brewery, Great Dane Brewing’s DDH WC DIPA and Everyday IPA, BLACK TIDE BREWING’s SiX ESB, Schneider Weisse Helle Weisse, Revision Brewing’s D-IPA, Other Half Brewing’s Space Dream, and Riegele’s Kellerbier. The mix covers Japanese staples, American IPAs, and German wheat and lager styles, making the food pairing options broad and practical.

18th Anniversary Campaign


Amber Rondo is also running its 18th-anniversary thank-you campaign through Sunday, June 14. Draft beers from Ishinomaki Hops Works, Schneider and Riegele bottled and draft beers, and Amber Rondo’s fried gyoza are all discounted by 18%. For drinkers, it is a good chance to visit the newly relocated Honcho location for both beer and collaboration food in one stop.
