Tap takeover on July 5

Omishima Brewery will host a tap takeover at HARU BEER, on the first floor of the Nakahara Building at 12-8 Enko-cho, Naka Ward, Hiroshima. The event runs from 12:00 to 20:30 last order, and is being presented as a day to enjoy the brewery’s beers in Hiroshima.

Omishima Brewery is a small craft brewery run by a couple on Omishima, an island in the middle of the Shimanami Kaido route. On its official site, the brewery highlights fruit-forward beers made with local citrus from Omishima, alongside beers designed to be balanced and easy to keep drinking. The house style feels grounded and straightforward, with a clear sense of place.

The brewery’s regular lineup on its official site includes:

- Blonde Ale: a clean, standard beer with little sharpness
- IPA: a hop-forward beer with firm bitterness and aroma
- Stout: a dark beer that is rich yet easy to drink
- White Ale: citrus-based and restrained in bitterness
- Belgian Ale: fruity aromatics from Belgian yeast

In a neighborhood beer bar like HARU BEER, tasting these core styles side by side should make the brewery’s range easy to understand. The event looks like a good chance to experience Omishima Brewery’s island character in Hiroshima.
