Kakuuchi Asakura in Kyoto posts a five-tap Japanese craft beer lineup
Kakuuchi Asakura in Kyoto’s Kamigyo Ward shared its latest tap list on Instagram, thanking guests for the strong response after a TV feature. The post also notes an Obon break from August 11 to 14, with regular service resuming on August 15.
Kakuuchi Asakura, a beer pub-style standing bar in Kyoto’s Kamigyo Ward, combines craft beer and sake under one roof. In its latest Instagram post, the shop said it was surprised by the strong reaction to its TV coverage and thanked everyone who stopped by.
The craft beer lineup featured five taps. The list included FARMENTATION "ZHENDAN 震旦 SAISON" from Nara (Spice Saison), Yellow Beer Works "raiNing 僕のパンダのSesIPA" from Fukushima, Inkhorn Brewing "Flocking" from Tokyo (Italian Pilsner), CRAFT BEER BASE "North west Pale Ale" from Osaka (Australian style Pale Ale), and HINOBREWING "Gamou Helles" from Shiga (Munchener Helles).
What stands out here is the range. The tap list spans saison, ses IPA, Italian pilsner, pale ale, and helles, making it easy to compare aroma, bitterness, and body side by side. That variety fits the shop’s format well: a casual kakuuchi where you can drop in for a quick pint, or spend more time exploring both beer and sake.
The post also says the shop will be closed for Obon from August 11 to 14 and return to regular hours on August 15. For beer drinkers in Kyoto, it is a spot worth keeping on the radar.
