Hare no Kuni Brewery is a small brewery that brews in Wake Town, Okayama Prefecture. On its official website, the brewery says it is run by a brewer born in Wake and his wife, and that it aims to make beer that takes advantage of grains and fruit blessed by the sun, with a focus on a dry finish suited to a place with long hours of sunlight.
The announcement this time is the brewery's first five core beers. Brewery manager Bandai expressed gratitude for being able to reach the starting line after overcoming various challenges, and said the brewery will continue brewing its core lineup without interruption while also working to refine its products, add limited releases, and take on OEM manufacturing.
The beer list on the official website shows the following labels:
- Entry Pale Ale: Listed as an American pale ale. A beer designed to draw out the appeal of Cascade hops and emphasize a citrusy, fruity aroma
- Ikki: Listed as an IPA
- Pole Pole Blueberry: Listed as a fruit beer
- Weizen Zombie: Listed as a weizen
The purchase options are also clear: in addition to sales at the brewery, the beers are available at the neighboring JA Hyakusai Market and through the online shop. The brewery also envisions them as gifts for occasions such as Father's Day, birthdays, and year-end presents, a suggestion that reflects its community-rooted character. It will be worth watching how this core lineup, which begins in Wake Town, develops from here.
