PEDROLINO, a beer pub located in Tanimachi 6-chome, Osaka, has added Numazu Craft’s Margyside ESB to its tap list.

The beer is an ESB, or Extra Special Bitter, with an ABV of 6.0%. PEDROLINO describes it as rich and malt-forward, with roasted malt depth, tea-like flavors, and a familiar roasted character reminiscent of Japanese barley tea. Despite the assertive-sounding name, the beer is relatively mild in bitterness. Its relaxed profile makes it suitable for daytime drinking and aperitif service, while its balanced character also works well with food.

The name Margyside refers to Liverpool, reflecting Numazu Craft owner-brewer Kataoka’s love of football and support for the English Premier League club. The background gives the beer an additional point of interest for football fans.

PEDROLINO’s current draft selection also includes Bay Pilsner from Yokohama Bay Brewing, a 4.7% Bohemian Pilsner, and Tsuki ni Kawatte Oshioki IPA from Repubrew, a 7.0% West Coast IPA. The stock beer selection features Zaerts 419 from Yokohama Bay Brewing, a 4.2% Bohemian Pilsner.

With its Italian cuisine and beer-focused atmosphere, PEDROLINO offers a natural setting for pairing beer with food. The new ESB is an especially approachable choice for a meal, while the pilsner and IPA provide contrasting options for a tasting flight. During the holiday period, the pub is scheduled to open from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on September 19, 20, 22, and 23, and to close on September 21. Check with the venue before visiting.
