Omishima Brewery to Join the Omishima Sake Fest on April 11 with Event Service
Omishima Brewery will operate as an event stall in conjunction with the Omishima Sake Fest on Saturday, April 11. It will be a day to look forward to a white ale, IPA, stout, and other pours unique to this small Shimanami Kaido craft brewery, with island citrus in the mix.
On April 11, special event hours for the Omishima Sake Fest
Omishima Brewery (Miyaura, Omishima-cho, Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture) will set up shop at the "Omishima Sake Fest" on Saturday, April 11. Located in the center of the Shimanami Kaido, the small craft brewery run by a husband-and-wife team will open in step with the island event.
The brewery's beers are notable for a lineup that reflects Omishima's local character. Its standard Blonde Ale is a low-key, easy-drinking style; the White Ale is a fruit beer flavored with organically grown citrus from Omishima. In addition, there is IPA with pronounced hop bitterness and aroma, Stout with the pleasant aroma and richness of roasted malt, and Pale Ale crafted to balance with the savory character of the barley.
The limited-batch offerings also include Cacao Black, layered with cacao aroma, and Belgian Ale, which features the fruity aroma from Belgian yeast. With a lineup that moves between the brightness of citrus and the depth of malt and hop character, it's easy to choose according to your preference.
The shop is located at 5589 Miyaura, Omishima-cho, and business hours are 12:00-20:00 (last order 19:30). It is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but there may be temporary openings or closures, so it's a good idea to check before visiting. Parking is available for four cars, making it convenient not only for a drink on the island, but also as a brewpub stop along a trip on the Shimanami Kaido. On the day of the event, alongside the festival atmosphere, there should be plenty of fun in tasting the island's craft beers side by side.
