The beer pub Taki〜AKANE〜JapaneseBeer&SakeDining in Dogenzaka, Shibuya, has announced its operating details for Friday, May 1. Hours will be from 5 p.m. to midnight, and for the first two hours after opening, prices will be 100 yen off as "Akane's Happy Time."
The draft beers available that day will be three varieties: Tokyo - August Beer Original (Pilsner), Saitama - COEDO Kyara (IPL), and Sapporo Beer Shirohonoka. The lineup brings together beers with distinct personalities, from the crisp finish of the pilsner to the toasty character of the IPL and the gentle, smooth drinking feel of Shirohonoka. Designed to make side-by-side tasting easy around beer, it is welcome news for craft beer fans.
The shop is a second location that promotes "Japanese craft beer and Japanese sake," and it has a strong selection of sake in addition to beer. In this post, Mie - Yamaiishi Jun Gin Jikumi Muroka Namagenshu and Kochi - Tosa Shiragiku Tokujun Omachi Zangara are introduced as newly tapped offerings.
The food menu is rich in sake snacks, centered on fresh fish. The lineup includes smoked daikon with cream cheese and sake lees, spicy potato fries, fried oysters, sake lees-marinated three-colored pork, Yamaguchi dried pufferfish, and buri yellowtail grilled over charcoal with salted koji marinade, making it easy to pair with beer. It is a versatile spot for a calm night out in Shibuya when you want to drink Japanese craft beer.
The post also mentions that the shop is scheduled to close at the end of May, making it one to visit while there is still time in May.
