Aozora Brewery is brewing limited IPA and lager for W&B in Hakata
Aozora Brewery, a Fukuoka microbrewery based in Hakata, said on Instagram that it is brewing a limited IPA and lager for its upcoming W&B - Wagyu & Craft Beer - venue. The label artwork was handled by Saki Morinaga, and the brewery also shared tasting notes for both beers.
Aozora Brewery is a microbrewery based in Tenyamachi, Hakata, Fukuoka. On its official site, the brewery describes its goal as bringing more craft beer culture to Fukuoka, and it currently operates two locations: Hakata Tenyamachi and Kaizuka Station Stand.
In its Instagram post, the brewery said it is brewing a limited IPA and lager for the upcoming W&B - Wagyu & Craft Beer - by Aozora Brewery venue at Canal City Hakata East Building. The post also noted that the label illustration was created by Saki Morinaga, the same artist behind the wall mural, suggesting a coordinated visual identity for the new spot.
According to the brewer's comments in the post, the W&B IPA is meant to be bold with stronger bitterness, while the W&B Lager is designed to feel crisp and refreshing. The two beers appear to be tailored to the venue's wagyu-and-beer concept, where food pairing will likely be part of the appeal.
For Aozora Brewery, the release fits its existing approach: approachable beers made in the middle of the city, alongside periodic limited brews. These W&B beers look set to become part of the brewery's next chapter as it expands its presence in Hakata.
