Local breweries gather at Kibo-ga-Oka Park in Naha

HEAVY SASORI BREWING TAPROOM will set up a booth at NAHA LOCAL BREWERIES' GARDEN, held at Kibo-ga-Oka Park from April 11 to 12, 2026. The venue is across from Sakaemachi Theater, and the event is being billed as a craft beer festival bringing together seven breweries based in Naha. Food vendors and live performances are also planned, and admission is free.

The shop is a brewpub in Makishi, Naha, near the Kokusai Street area, about a 6-minute walk from Makishi Station's west exit. With 24 seats, it has a counter-style setup that makes it easy to drop in alone, and the outdoor seating lets you relax with a drink while feeling the breeze. It is designed to be easy to use whether you're stopping by during sightseeing or settling in for a drink locally.

In-house brews and guest beers

At HEAVY SASORI BREWING's taps, you can enjoy a range of distinct styles centered on beers brewed in-house. For example, the West Coast IPA "MARKEE?She is Home. T" combines citrus and tropical aromas with pine-like nuances. The Session Porter "Daywalk Porter T" has a roasted character reminiscent of chocolate and coffee, with a light, easy-drinking finish.

Other offerings include the Spiced Ale "Oh One Minute T," made with shekwasa peel and pink peppercorns, and the DDH IPA "Slow Daze T," which gently unfolds with white grape and tropical aromas. The guest lineup also includes "Freak Hazy IPA" from BREAK EDGE BEER WORKS in Hiroshima, making it appealing for anyone looking to drink a richer hazy beer.

How to enjoy the event

A major appeal of this event is being able to sample Naha's local beers all in one place. After touring the seven breweries at the venue, it would also be natural to head back to HEAVY SASORI BREWING's taproom for a classic pint. Since it stays open from 17:00 to 24:00, it's convenient for anyone who wants to keep drinking a little deeper after the festival.

The liveliness of Kibo-ga-Oka Park and the casual feel of a brewpub in Makishi. It looks like a weekend where you can enjoy both at once.
