New Release Is a Hazy Pale Ale Inspired by the "Flower of Tsukuba"

The newly released "~Hoshizaki Yukinoshita~ Hazy Pale Ale" is a beer inspired by "Hoshizaki Yukinoshita," a plant that grows wild on Mount Tsukuba and is known as the flower of Tsukuba City. Positioned as an evolved version of the "Hoshizaki Yukinoshita" released in 2025, this beer updates the style to a Hazy Pale Ale.

The post describes it as featuring a refreshing lemon-and-lime-like aroma, juicy tropical-fruit character, and a balance of satisfying body and easy drinkability. With an ABV of 5.5%, it is designed to be easy to enjoy both with meals and on its own.

About the Brewery

Tsukuba Brewery is a craft brewery from Tsukuba, Ibaraki, known for putting its regional identity front and center. A defining feature of the brewery is its approach of weaving the area's nature and culture into its beers, and this latest release is another example, seemingly bringing the Tsukuba mountain foothills context straight into the glass. The way it connects a locally rooted motif with a modern, popular Hazy style makes this a release worth noting as a snapshot of where local craft beer stands today.
