Highbury -The Cave of Beer- adds Baird Beer as a permanent alternative to Thornbridge
The beer pub Highbury -The Cave of Beer- in Yokohama's Sakuragicho announced that, in preparation for Thornbridge's standard beers running out, it will keep Baird Beer's "Imperial IPA" and "Rising Sun Pale Ale" on tap. Right now, `JAIPUR` and `AM:PM` are still available too, so there's a chance to compare them side by side.
An Instagram post from Highbury -The Cave of Beer- (Hanasakicho, Naka Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) announced that Baird Beer will be brought in as the permanent substitute beer after Thornbridge's two standard offerings were nearing depletion.
Current beers to watch
- `JAIPUR` / Thornbridge Brewery - 5.9% American IPA
- `AM:PM` / Thornbridge Brewery - 4.5% Session IPA
- `Imperial IPA` / Baird Beer - 6.5%
- `Rising Sun Pale Ale` / Baird Beer - 5.5%
The post first explains that Highbury's longtime staples, `JAIPUR` and `AM:PM`, were once again nearing depletion, and that `Imperial IPA` and `Rising Sun Pale Ale` were chosen as the "POST Thornbridge" lineup to fill the gap. Both are well-known as regular brands, and the lineup fits the conditions for being installed as the house IPA/PA.
As a beer pub with easy access from Sakuragicho Station, Highbury's style is to guide customers through the timing of changes while staying centered on respected British brands. Until Thornbridge returns, this gives people a chance to take their time comparing Baird Beer's two beers. It is not a flashy event announcement, but it clearly shows what can be drunk in the shop right now, making it practical news for beer lovers.
