Beer Pub Nekotoazarashi is a counter-focused beer pub within walking distance of Mitaka Station's south exit. On Friday, May 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., it featured 10 taps spanning breweries across Japan.

The lineup consisted of Romantic Village's "Tochigi Berry Berry Sour," Iwate Kura's "English IPA" and "Almost Cider Fuji ver.," Locobeer's "Super Saison 2024," Daisen G Beer'"Stout," Mojiko Beer's "Sakura Beer," Beer Heun's "Pilsner" and "Pale Ale," Minoh Beer's "Saruyama Shikao," and Shiga Kogen Beer's "SNOW MONKEY IPA Silver Label ver." With sour, cider, saison, stout, lager, pale ale, and IPA all represented, the range of styles was especially broad.

In the day's post, the shop also mentioned that it had taken part in the Keyaki Hiroba Beer Festival the day before, and recommended "motsuni" as the evening turned a little chilly. Menu items featuring new onions, as well as the slow-simmered dish with new onion and bacon, were available until sold out. The omelet was served with salmon and asparagus, making for a seasonal dish to pair with beer.

The shop is small, with 9 seated counter seats, 4 two-person tables, and 1 standing table, making it a good place for days when you want to take your time choosing beer. From vegetable-based side dishes to fries, chili beans, potato salad, meat and fish dishes, and penne, the menu is broad, and the appeal is being able to spend time comparing the tap list with the food. It is the kind of place that works well both for people who want to drink quietly and for those who want to enjoy tasting beers side by side.
