Tap Update

craft beer Extra Hop, a beer pub in Chuo-machi, Oita City, has announced its summer weekend schedule for July and August: continuous service from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. That makes it easier to stop by from late afternoon through the evening.

The new draft lineup starts with Hi-Wire Brewing / Cooler Nights IPA, CRAFT BEER BASE / XPA -Luna-, and BEPPU BREWERY / Noyaki Dark Lager. It is a compact but clear-cut selection, with each beer bringing a different side of the tap list into focus.

The three featured pours

- `Cooler Nights IPA` / Hi-Wire Brewing
A return to Hi-Wire Brewing with an IPA described as classic and gentle in balance, with grapefruit peel-like character and bitterness.
- `XPA -Luna-` / CRAFT BEER BASE
An XPA from Osaka's CRAFT BEER BASE, presented as a good fit for the season and a very drinkable pour.
- `Noyaki Dark Lager` / BEPPU BREWERY
A popular dark lager from Beppu Brewery. The post notes that it sold out quickly last month, making this one worth catching while it is on.

Other taps nearing the end

Also mentioned are a lager suited to starting with Falò, CRAFT BEER BASE's American pale ale, and Moriyamaen's cider described as an adult apple juice-like drink. Shiga Kogen's limited IPA had already moved by half a night, showing how quickly the lineup turns over.

Set on the first floor of the Okuno Hosomichi Building in central Oita, Extra Hop remains a place where the taps can change fast and the range stays broad. The venue also accepts the electronic version of Oita City's premium shopping voucher.
