Tap List for Sunday, 4/19

Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park Irish Pub Tullamore posted its service information for Sunday, April 19. Hours are 15:00〜23:00, with drinks last order at 22:30 and food last order at 22:00. It’s set up so you can start settling in for a proper drinking session a little earlier than after work.

This day’s Regular Beer lineup has three beers. The indispensable Guinness for any Irish pub, Shiga Kogen Beer IPA with a clearly assertive hop presence, and the easy-to-drink Yebisu are all on tap. With a dark beer, an IPA, and a lager, each in a different style, it’s a lineup that makes everything from the first pour to a tasting comparison easy to plan.

In addition, as Today's English Style Ale -Nitro-, they are serving Ikari Brewing Irish Red -Nitro-. With the smooth mouthfeel that only nitrogen gas can create and the depth of a reddish malt character, it’s a beer that should also catch the eye of Guinness fans.

Today's Guest Beer is Chichibu Beer Namara Nigai Kuma TDH IPA. In the post, it is described as a TDH IPA that puts bitterness and hop aroma front and center, using Citra, Cascade, Vic Secret, Mosaic, and Superdelic. Blue-tinged lime, mellow citrus, and fresh citrus notes layer together, conveying a balance that goes beyond simply being “super bitter” by name alone.

The food is well covered too, with this week’s Holiday Roast being roast pork. In addition, smoked chicken and mushroom pizza is also on offer, making it easy to build a meal around the character of the draft beers. It’s the kind of service that suits a day when you want to slowly compare the regulars and the guest at a local Irish pub near Yoyogi-Koen Station.
