Beer rollout
Shiokaze Brewlab introduced `Mango Impact` at Shiokaze Brew Stand Soga. The beer is a fruited pale ale with 5.6% ABV and 39 IBU, designed to balance aroma and drinkability.
According to the post, the beer opens with a fresh mango impression the moment you bring it close to your nose. What makes it more interesting is that it does not lean fully into sweetness. Mango puree is added during fermentation, so the sugar is metabolized by yeast and the final beer finishes dry. The result is a beer with clear fruit character and less weight on the palate.
Shiokaze Brewlab operates its own brewery in the Chiba Port area. The brewery background also matters here: Chris Pool, who built up experience at Baird Beer in Shizuoka, later continued brewing at Phantom after going independent before establishing Shiokaze Brewlab. With a reputation for flexible and distinctive recipes, the brewery uses `Mango Impact` to show that range in a straightforward way. The post also notes that a new addition has joined the lineup at Shiokaze Brew Stand Soga, pointing to a fresh offering at the taproom.
