Event Overview

At Tokyo∞kei, the mini study session "CHAT WITH BEER" is starting, offering a casual way to learn the basics of craft beer. Rather than a lecture format, it’s a style where you expand your knowledge while chatting with people who know beer well, making it easy for even total beginners to take part.

The first session is scheduled for Friday, April 24, from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM (planned). The venue is Tokyo∞kei, just steps from the west exit of Omori Station. The participation fee is expected to be around 800 to 1,000 yen, and you can join without a reservation. If you bring your own beer, that part is on you, but you can also come empty-handed. It sounds like a place where you can bring beers you’re curious about, taste them side by side, and put your preferences into words.

A space unique to Tokyo∞kei

Tokyo∞kei is the directly operated beer bar of Omori Sanno Brewery. Centered around a standing counter, it also has an event space, live house, and terrace beer garden, giving it multiple faces. Music live performances and various events are held inside, and the space is designed so that the time spent drinking beer itself becomes a trigger for conversation.

There are eight taps in total. Six taps feature Omori Sanno Brewery beers, plus Asahi Super Dry and Pilsner Urquell. In addition to enjoying draft beer on the spot, the bar also supports growler takeout and bottle/can takeout, so the variety of ways to drink is part of what makes this place distinctive.

Who it's for

The people appearing as the "beer experts" in the first session are Kubochi, who holds Beer Exam Level 1, and Omitsu, who is in charge of brewing. By bringing together the perspectives of drinkers and brewers, the format makes it easier to notice differences in color, aroma, and flavor. For anyone who wants an easy place to start, organize their own preferences, or talk about beer a little more naturally with the people around them, this looks like a good fit.

Tokyo∞kei is a place where people gather not just to drink, but because beer brings people together and creates conversation. This "CHAT WITH BEER" event should also serve as an introductory course that uses that atmosphere to broaden the doorway into craft beer just a little more.
