In a daze Brewing joins JR Tokai’s Ina Valley Sake Academy beer edition
In a daze Brewing will take part in the third installment of JR Tokai’s Ina Valley Sake Academy, this time focused on local craft beer. On August 8, the brewery will appear aboard a train from Ina City Station together with Minami Shinshu Beer to introduce their brewing approach and regional beer culture.
Project outline
This event is the third installment of JR Tokai’s "Ina Valley Sake Academy," a pre-event tied to the Shinshu DC campaign. This edition focuses on local craft beer and turns a train ride into a tasting and learning experience.
The service runs on August 8, departing Ina City Station around 10:57 and arriving at Toyohashi Station around 18:12 on a three-car 373 series train. In a daze Brewing from Ina City and Minami Shinshu Beer from Miyata Village will take part and share their brewing philosophy and priorities on board.
A classroom on rails
The train is staged as the school building of the Ina Valley Sake Academy, with passengers cast as students and the breweries as guest teachers. The scenery of the Ina Valley becomes part of the experience, and the beer is paired with a travel product that lets participants enjoy local drinks while riding through the region.
A brewery rooted in Ina Valley
In a daze Brewing is based in Ina City, Nagano, and was founded in 2018. The brewery’s guiding idea is "Brew a better life," and its public-facing taproom opened the same year. The company has since expanded its brewing space, added a lunch program, and renewed the taproom in July 2025. That local, community-minded stance makes it a natural fit for a train event built around regional storytelling.
Booking
The trip is sold as packaged travel through Hankyu Travel, Club Tourism, and JTB, including an option for people who can reach Ina City Station on their own.
