Mushimahama Brewery to Hold 7th Anniversary Festival on March 29, Free Ferry Fare Day Also Planned
Mushimahama Brewery, which brews on Mushima in Okayama’s Kasaoka Islands, will hold its "7th Anniversary Festival" on Sunday, March 29, 2026. In addition to guest stalls by Nebutoya and Ipponmatsu, the Kasaoka (Sumiyoshi Port) - Mushima (Tobishima) route will also be free on a first-come, first-served basis that day.
According to a post on Mushimahama Brewery’s Instagram, the 7th Anniversary Festival will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The venue will be the brewery’s operating base, "Mushima Drinking Spot," and the day is being presented as a chance to enjoy craft beer and food in a seaside setting.
The main highlights this time are guest stalls from Nebutoya and Ipponmatsu, both popular shops in Kasaoka. The post calls on visitors to "enjoy outdoor drinking in the spring weather," while also suggesting views in front of the lighthouse and picnic use. It looks set to be an event where you can savor not just beer, but island time itself.
In addition, the fare for the ferry between Kasaoka (Sumiyoshi Port) and Mushima (Tobishima) will be free on a first-come, first-served basis. This applies to the route that normally costs 2,560 yen round trip, and details of the usage conditions need to be checked in the Kasaoka City Tourism Association’s 안내. It is said to be open broadly, not limited to Kasaoka City residents, as long as the rules are followed.
Mushimahama Brewery has continued sharing information on its official website as a craft brewery that brews beer on the small island of Mushima in the Kasaoka Islands of Okayama Prefecture. Because of its remote-island location, each beer reached after a boat ride offers a uniquely local experience. This 7th anniversary milestone seems likely to be an opportunity to take in the brewery’s current place in time together with Mushima’s scenery.
Hours on the day are 10:00-17:00. The start times for the participating vendors’ offerings will be announced later.
