Chuo Line Beer Works announced that it will newly tap Niiza Craft's "NAKAJI’S HELLES" as a guest beer on April 23. According to the post, the beer style is Helles, ABV 5.0%, IBU 10. It is brewed with a SMaSH recipe, and its design brings malt sweetness to the forefront while remaining crisp and easy to keep drinking.

The brewery operates in Koganei City, Tokyo, as the first directly operated craft beer brewery of the JR East Group. In the taproom under the elevated tracks between Higashi-Koganei Station and Musashi-Koganei Station, visitors can enjoy not only beers brewed in-house but also guest beers from other breweries. With a former station employee working as a brewer on product development, the venue strongly reflects the character of the local rail corridor.

This NAKAJI’S HELLES is being introduced as a beer that broadens the appeal of the taproom. It will be open on Thursday, April 23 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with last orders at 8:30 p.m. on all days. It is a lineup suited not only to a drink after work, but also to leisurely enjoying on the weekend.

With activities that began from local hop cultivation, Chuo Line Beer Works has helped nurture craft beer culture along the Chuo Line. In addition to its regular house beers, the introduction of guest beers like this causes the taproom's expression to change from day to day. One wants to experience the gentle sweetness and light drinkability characteristic of a Helles in the space under the station viaduct.
