Beer Pub Ishii to close after selling through beer on June 4, then shut June 5-9
Beer Pub Ishii in Sendagi, Bunkyo Ward, says it will end service on June 4 once the beer is sold out, then close from June 5 through June 9. In a June 3 post, the pub also highlighted LEVEL Kagurazaka’s “LEVEL Rice,” underscoring its rotating-tap character.
Beer Pub Ishii, on Yomise-dori in Sendagi, opened in 2013 as a small craft-beer pub. According to its official site, it runs four taps, three of them rotating Japanese craft beers and one permanent house tap. Kegs are swapped out as they empty, so the lineup changes from visit to visit. It works well for a quick solo pint, but it also offers food that changes with the day’s produce, from lighter snacks to more substantial dishes.
In its June 3 post, the pub announced that it would close once the beer runs out on June 4, then remain closed from June 5 through June 9. The post also pointed to LEVEL Kagurazaka’s “LEVEL Rice” for the day’s pour. The wording makes clear that this is a sell-through service day, where the session ends when the remaining beer is gone. For regulars, the interesting part is what comes next after the short break: whatever keg is ready when the taps are turned back on.
Beer Pub Ishii is known as a neighborhood pub focused on Japanese craft beer, with an easygoing format that still keeps the beer front and center. This announcement fits that approach: pour what’s on hand, finish it properly, and rotate to the next keg. If you plan to visit, checking the latest social posts first is the safest move.
