Draft lineup for June 12
CraftBeerSpot Hathor in Kyobashi, Osaka, has posted its June 12 draft-beer lineup. The beer pub runs 16 taps and pairs the selection with house-smoked food, so the board moves from easy-drinking lagers to fruit beers, IPAs, and dark styles.
The freshly tapped beer is Sapporo Breweries' Sapporo Draft Beer Black Label, a lager known for its malt sweetness, crisp finish, and creamy foam. The lager section also includes Hopping Shachi and Brau Meister.
The recommended pour is Repubrew's Momoka to Kyouko no Duet Weizen, a summer fruit Weizen built around peach and apricot. With about 60% wheat malt, it is fuller and softer on the palate, while banana and clove notes from the yeast keep it recognizably Weizen.
IPA drinkers have plenty to choose from: Tono no Wind, made with 100% Tono-grown hops; Live Current IPA from Stone; Hop Nyaon 12th Fleet; Kozaru IPA Real Ale ver from Minoh Beer; and Pleiades from Uchu Brewing. The board is rounded out by Yona Yona Pale Ale, Shinkan no Pale Ale, Daisen G Beer Pale Ale, and Old Rasputin, making this a lineup that moves easily from crisp lagers to heavier dark beer.
