Baeren Brewery in Shizukuishi, Iwate, is releasing Tsunagu Beer Sorachi Ace as the second limited beer in its 100% Iwate-ingredient series. Brewed with Iwate-grown malt and Sorachi Ace hops, it is a dry-hopped lager focused on aroma.
Baeren Brewery will release Tsunagu Beer Sorachi Ace as the second limited edition in its Tsunagu Beer series, which uses 100% ingredients from Iwate Prefecture. The official web shop lists it as shipping from September 7 onward, while the start date may vary by sales channel.
The beer is built on malted barley grown in Iwate and brewed with Sorachi Ace, a rare hop known for its cedar-like, herbal aroma. Baeren uses Sorachi Ace as the sole hop variety in this single-hop recipe, and applies a double dry-hopping method during fermentation and maturation to emphasize freshness and fragrance.
The beer is classified as a dry-hopped lager. It comes in a 330 ml bottle, has an alcohol content of 5.0%, and is priced at 452 yen including tax. Based in Shizukuishi, Iwate, Baeren continues to highlight local ingredients and a clean, aromatic drinking profile in this release.
