At WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE in Inage-Kaigan, West Coast Brewing’s Full Hop Alchemist r9 has been tapped.

The new batch reportedly uses more dry hopping, bringing a bright tropical profile with mango, papaya, and pineapple. Grapefruit, orange, peach, and pear notes are layered in as well, while the beer is described as a hazy double IPA with an ABV of 8.5% and a softer alcohol presence than its strength might suggest. A dank finish rounds out the profile.

MIHAMA BASE is a craft-beer specialist in the Inage-Kaigan area, and it holds a general liquor retail license, so bottled and canned beer can also be taken out. That makes it a useful stop whether you want a draft pint on site or beer to bring home.

The day’s draft lineup consists of nine beers in total. Alongside the new West Coast Brewing tap are GUINNESS, KIRIN HEARTLAND, Hoegaarden White, Pizza Port Summer Sunlight IPA, Yuya Boys Flower Children/Lotus, TopaTopa Chief Peak IPA, Karl Strauss 37th Anniversary Golden Ale with Coffee, and CRAK Brewery Yuya Boys After Sauna. The mix spans stout, pilsner, white ale, IPA, hazy IPA, coffee golden ale, and a salt-and-lemon lager style, making for a broad tasting range.

The bar is open from 17:00 to 25:00. For drinkers in Inage-Kaigan looking for a place with a rotating draft list and a wide style range, MIHAMA BASE stands out as a solid option.
