Two taps changed over at Moyamoya Base, with MILK& and Blooming IPA newly added
At Sapporo's Moyamoya Base, two kegs rotated out and in, with Yellow Beer Works' MILK& and Minoh Beer’s Blooming IPA newly on tap. DD4D IPA and Session Black IPA rotated out, making for a lineup that clearly reflects the shop’s appeal of enjoying beer through keg changes.
At the beer pub "Moyamoya Base," located on the second floor of M's Nijo Yokocho at 1-1-2 Minami 2-jo Higashi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, two taps changed over on April 20. True to the shop’s style of letting customers enjoy domestic craft beer through keg rotations, this was a lineup that beer lovers watching for what’s pouring that day won’t want to miss.
This time, the beers that went OUT were DD4D BREWING / DD4D IPA and Minoh Beer / Session Black IPA. Taking their place and going IN were Yellow Beer Works / MILK& and Minoh Beer / Blooming IPA. Even within the shop’s usual operation of around five rotating taps, this was a moment when the brand changes were especially clear.
The lineup for the day was the following five beers:
- 1. Yellow Beer Works / MILK& [NEW]
- 2. NEKOBEER / Pils Nyaa!
- 3. Kyoto Brewing / Irotoridori NZ Pale Ale Edition
- 4. Minoh Beer / Blooming IPA [NEW]
- 5. Ise Kadoya Beer / Sencha HAZY IPA
Moyamoya Base is a casual beer pub on the second floor of M's Nijo Yokocho, and its charm lies in the way the contents change every time a keg kicks. Rather than being a place to follow a fixed menu, it is somewhere to enjoy the beers lined up that day, so it suits people who want to know what craft beer looks like right now. With Yellow Beer Works from Fukushima, Minoh Beer from Osaka, NEKOBEER from Fukuoka, Kyoto Brewing, and Ise Kadoya Beer from Mie, the range of regions and personalities is wide, and the fun of side-by-side tasting is right there on the table.
For anyone in central Sapporo looking to choose a beer that matches today’s mood, this was an update worth remembering as a stop to drop into.
