Iwai Brewery and Maruki Winery to Hold New Wine Tasting Event in Katsunuma
At Iwai Terrace in Katsunuma, Yamanashi, a new wine tasting event by Iwai Brewery and Maruki Winery will be held. Timed to coincide with the release date for new wine, the event will feature a collaboration beer, special food, and talks by the makers.

IWAI TERRACE will host "Taste the New," a new wine tasting event organized together with Maruki Winery of Katsunuma. The venue is Iwai Terrace in Shimoiwasaki, Katsunuma-cho, Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and the event will run from 17:00 to 19:00 on Monday, November 3 (national holiday), by advance reservation only.
In addition to this year's new wines from Maruki Winery, the event will offer tastings of the first collaboration beer with IWAI BREWERY. Food will be a special menu from Iwai Terrace, designed to pair with the wine and beer. A talk session is also planned with Masafumi Yasuda, the brewing director of Maruki Winery, and Takuya Yanai, head brewer at IWAI BREWERY.
Iwai Terrace is a cafe with views of the Kofu Basin and the Southern Alps, and from spring through autumn, guests can also enjoy BBQ on the terrace. The adjacent IWAI BREWERY brews craft beer, and the venue also serves meals, sweets, and gelato to pair with its beer and wine. This event looks set to be a Katsunuma-style evening where winery new wine and brewery beer can be enjoyed at the same table.
