Featured taps
Bakushuya Pogology in Osaka's Chuo Ward has shared its current tap lineup, and the list now spans 14 draft beers from both Japanese and overseas breweries.
The headline pour is Oni Densetsu's Kinoni Pale Ale Krush Single Ver., a single-hop take that makes the aroma and bitterness easier to read. Nara Brewing also appears with CHARM and LIGHTHOUSE nitro ver.; the latter is presented as a smooth, nitrogen-driven beer.
Wide-ranging lineup
Other confirmed beers include Shiga Kogen Beer's SNOW MONKEY IPA, Minoh Beer's HONEY SAISON and Blooming IPA, Brasserie Knot's TIP and HARBOR, WEST COAST BREWING's BEATSSEEKER, Founders' KBS, Behemoth's HAZE JUICE, Beppu Brewery's YOU WAKU MOSAIC, and GROSS's SATURATION SIMCOE. IPA, saison, sour, and stout styles are all represented, making it a strong lineup for comparison drinking.
Why it works
The pub opens at 6 p.m. on weekdays and 3 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Until sunset, the doors and windows stay open, giving the place an easy, walk-in feel for a first pint. Food is part of the draw too, with a weekday-only Pogojiro Set, Tuesday ramen service, and a chicken-focused event called Tori Jiro announced for April 26. It reads like a place built for beer and a proper meal in the same visit.
