13 taps announced at an Irish pub in Ueno
The beer pub "The World End -Irish Pub-" in Ueno, Tokyo, announced that it will open at 4:00 p.m. on May 19. The shop is on the second floor of a building in Ueno 6-chome, Taito Ward, an easy walk from Ueno Station, making it a convenient stop on the way home from work or in between shopping.
Guest beers
In this post, the following guest beers were announced.
- Oni Densetsu Beer / Kinoni Pale Ale (ADHA-218 ver.)
- Hazy Labo / Waimea Hazy IPA
- Oni Densetsu × TONOTO / Shin Asahi Oni IPA
- Cycad Brewing / Lowii3 NE IPA

From domestic hoppy IPAs to a rich imperial stout, and even lambic, the lineup covers a wide range. One of the highlights this time is seeing flashy new releases and aged styles on the same table. In particular, items 2, 3, and 5 are limited in quantity, so if you want them, it would be best to go early.
Regular taps
The four regular draft beers are:
- Guinness
- Pilsner Urquell
- Hoegaarden White
- Heartland
In the calm atmosphere of an Irish pub, the setup lets you compare guest beers while keeping a classic pint as the anchor. The post also notes that weekday happy hour means pints from all taps are priced before tax.
Food is back too
On the food side, the post announced that the popular tacos are back for a limited time. They offer a fun way to pair with different beer styles, and they should work well with a broad tap list that includes IPAs, sours, and lambics.
This is shaping up to be a place in Ueno where you can chase both classic draft beers and distinctive guest pours at the same time. If you plan to visit for a tasting comparison, it would be smart to check the guest rotation and remaining stock as you go.
