PEDROLINO spotlights tea-and-beer pairings, adds two new taps
PEDROLINO in Osaka’s Andoji-cho shared a post on July 29 focused on the connection between tea and beer. Two new taps were added from Nara Brewing and Y.MARKET Brewing, alongside a lambic and foeder-aged saisons.
In an Instagram post dated July 29, PEDROLINO in Osaka introduced what it called the “good relationship between tea and beer.” The post used a tea caddy received for an anniversary celebration as a starting point, and it clearly reflects the bar’s approach of pairing beer with food rather than treating it as a standalone feature.
The day’s two new tap beers were:
- `EIGHTY EIGHT` (Nara Brewing): a saison with green tea, brewed with new tea leaves from Tea Farm Inokura. ABV 6.0%. Fruity and spicy, with a rounded green-tea character layered in.
- `Purple Jet Sky` (Y.MARKET Brewing): an American Pale Ale. ABV 5.5%. It moves from bright citrus aroma into a dank, melon-like finish.
Also listed by the glass was `EARL GREY TEA Infused Lambiek` from Oud Beersel, a 6.8% straight lambic with black tea. The menu further included `Junsei Alt` from Y.MARKET Brewing, plus `Foeder Saison Vintage2023` and `Dry Hopped Foeder Saison Vintage2023` from Anglo Japanese Brewing, giving the lineup range from bright and easygoing to more mature and layered.
PEDROLINO is a beer pub in Osaka’s Andoji-cho that builds its list around how beer works with food. Putting tea-infused beers, saisons, and lambics in the same lineup makes the post more than a simple tap update; it reads like a statement of how the bar wants guests to drink.
