Koshiki Brewery, based on Shimo-Koshikijima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, has announced its October 2026 appearances on Instagram. The schedule takes the brewery from Kagoshima to Tokyo and Ehime, offering drinkers outside the island a chance to discover its island-made happoshu.
The month begins with the Ippin Fair at Amu Hiroba in Kagoshima from October 2 to 4. Koshiki Brewery will then appear at the Higashin Festival on Kobikicho-dori in Tokyo on October 17 and 18. On October 24, the brewery is scheduled to join STREET FESTA in Uwajima at Fukuro-machi Shopping Street in Ehime. The October schedule concludes with Kiriharo, held from October 31 through November 1.
In its post, the brewery says it is looking forward to an active October and notes that the team will be traveling extensively throughout the month. The schedule reflects Koshiki Brewery’s growing presence beyond its island home, connecting with drinkers through local festivals, markets and beer events.
Koshiki Brewery is part of a broader craft project based in Koshikijima, an island group in Satsumasendai, Kagoshima. Alongside its brewed beverages, the project explores other forms of making, including handmade leather, 3D-printed goods, organic aromas and art. Its identity is closely tied to the island’s landscape, community and locally rooted stories.
The brewery’s products are legally classified as happoshu under Japan’s liquor tax system, although the brand’s communications often use the language of craft beer. For beer fans visiting Kagoshima, Tokyo or Ehime in October, these events will offer a convenient way to encounter a brewery whose drinks carry the character of a remote island while traveling far beyond it.
